Ogbeni; I love this man, he is the general of grass root politics. A political revolutionist of some sort. He meets students in their schools wearing their uniform, he meets farmers, inside the forest where their Cocoa farms are located, any community he visits where they is no access road, instead of been carried on the shoulder by his aides, he removes his shoes and work through the mud to where he is going so as to also experience what his people are going through.
To enhance the education in his state he introduced the “Opon Imo” a tablet preloaded with more than 150 textbooks and past questions in WAEC and NECO within the past twenty years.
He introduced free education from primary to secondary school in Osun.
He started the Osun Youths Empowerment Scheme(O-YES) which reduced unemployment across the state, which is what the FG copied and called Npower.
He also started the free feeding program in all the primary Schools in Osun.
He infrastructural development in Oshogbo the state capital is superb.
He did all this by receiving the lowest allocation in the country.
His greatest undoing is his inability to pay salaries, but that could be excused considering the great work he has done in Osun with the meagre allocation he received. They was a month he received less than 80 million as revenue.
