AREGBESOLA DESERVES NATIONAL APPOINTMENT
In a country deficient of good leaders, Aregbesola is one the very few politicians that has carved a niche of being an enigmatic leader and an original thinker in the field of politics. His just concluded administration in the State of Osun has shown he is a man of great qualities and values when it comes to leadership.
John Brademas said “Leadership can be summed up in two words: intelligence and integrity, or, to use two synonyms: competence and character.” These are the key qualities Aregbesola posses that made his tenure a tremendous success.
His commitment to physical infrastructure development and maintenance is visible in terms of road constructions. The pace and geographical spread of road construction and over-head bridges in the state is something worth commendable.
Aregbesola, being an engineer, made sure the roads were constructed in standard condition. He particularly made sure roads that were not well done were demolished and re-constructed. His professionalism made it possible for the facilation of socioeconomic growth in the state. Also, Aregbesola’s contribution towards the accessibility of quality education is second to none. The state of Osun, with the exception of Lagos, remains the state that has concentrated the largest chunks of her resources on bringing meaningful development to education. He invested heavily in the renovation and building of school structures and providing the suitable educational tools that enable students to have access to functional education.
Aregbesola has succeeded in creating a feel good factor in the state so without any iota of doubt, he has the capacity to handle a ministerial appointment on either works and housing or on education.
Given to the fact that he has been able give a new face to the State of Osun especially on education and infrastructural development.
