Osun State Chairman of the All Progressives Congress(APC), Prince Gboyega Famodun, has given kudos to the outgoing state House of Assembly for its perpetual and steadfast co-operation for the APC- led government in the state.
Famodun who made this remark at the valedictory session of the House in Osogbo on Thursday said without the cooperation of the lawmakers, it would have been pretty difficult for the state government to record the number of successes to its credit to date.
He said, the lawmakers were the spine of the administration without which standing errect would be an impossibility for any administration.
Famodun hinted that he was not unaware that as the legislature has been cooperating with the government, the same gesture of support has being extended to the APC as a party in the state.
The state APC chairman noted also that it would be on record that the outgoing Assembly has been a worthy stabilizer for the governments of former Governor Rauf Aregbesola and his successor, Governor Gboyega Oyetola.
He disclosed that it’s not until when a legislature is antagonistic to the executive that such legislature would be said to be performing wonderfully.
In Famodun’s words to the outgoing lawmakers: “History will not fail to record your names in gold as quintessential partners in the foundation laying and sustenance of new Osun.
“Whatever achievements that could be traced to ex-Governor Aregbesola and present Governor Oyetola wouldn’t have been made possible without your unalloyed co-operation and God Almighty will make such a reason to enlarge your coasts in all ramifications”, he said.
The APC chairman urged the lawmakers to brace up for their readiness to occupy more tasking positions of responsibilities in future while he congratulated those of them who were re-elected.
The occasion was graced by principal political stakeholders of APC extraction from across the state.
