The death has occurred of the eldest sister of a senior journalist and an All Progressives Congress (APC) chieftain in the State of Osun, Ogbeni Kola Olabisi.
The deceased sister, Mrs Deborah Kekeola Odelade, passed on to glory at Ashipa in Ife-North Local Government Council Area of Osun on Tuesday at 78 years.
The late Mrs Odelade who died after a protracted sickness is survived by four children, one sister and two brothers, among whom are Mrs Grace Olu Yoade, a retired school headmistress; Mr Kola Olabisi, an APC chieftain in Modakeke and Mr Taiwo Ayoola Olabisi, an estate agent in Lagos.
The deceased who was a successful trader in her life time was also a prominent religious women leader at the Anglican Church, Ashipa, Osun State, till she joined the great majority.
The late Mrs Odelade was born to the family of the late Pa Gabriel Olabisi Ifagbamila and Mrs Rachael Diekola Olabisi of Agun’s Compound in Modakeke.
According to one of the daughters of the deceased, her final burial ceremony would be held onThursday, June 13, 2019.
In his eulogy, Kola Olabisi said, he lost a mother-figure whom she addressed as mummy because of the age difference between him and his fallen sister when he was growing up.
He said, it took a long time before he could come to terms that the deceased was his sister and not his mother’s sister.
Olabisi said, it won’t be possible to find a replacement for her dead sister.
