With the fixing of the judgement of the Osun State governorship election to July 5, 2019 by the Supreme Court, the state Chairman of the All Progressives Congress in the state, Prince Gboyega Famodun, has lauded the interdenominational prayers session organized by all the party’s ward chairmen across the state.
All the APC ward chairmen throughout the state converged at the state party secretariat, Ogo-Oluwa, Osogbo, on Monday for an interdenominational prayers session for the party’s success in the ongoing governorship case at the Supreme Court.
In a statement issued by the Media Consultant to the APC state chairman, Mr Kola Olabisi, in Osogbo, the state capital, on Monday, Famodun said that he has never undermined the potency of prayers in any difficult situation.
The state party chairman said, after having diligently done all things required and allowed by the law of the land to sustain the governorship mandate, what is left is prayer without ceasing.
He noted that it was not for fun that the interdenominational prayers session fell on the day the Supreme Court began its hearing on the governorship tussle.
The chairman enjoined all the party members not to waiver in their continuous support for the party, assuring them that they would all have a reason to laugh soonest through accessibility to dividends of democracy.
In his words: “My fellow members and chieftains of the APC in Osun, spread the news to all and sundry that there is no reason for them to panic over the ongoing governorship tussle at the Supreme Court.
“Our legal team has been doing a wonderful job. Information has it that there’s nothing requiring attention within the allowance of the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria that has not been properly effected”, he explained.
Famodun who also highlighted on some incidents of insecurity in the state charged all the ward chairmen to assist the security operatives in their respective domains by exposing the identities of any suspected enemy of peace whose intention is to create needless tension in the state.
He disclosed that the modus operandi of the operations of those causing insecurity in the state of late was suspected to be the handiwork of the opposition.
Famodun who advised the operatives and sponsors of the criminal act of inhumanity to change over a new leaf or be ready to face the consequences cautioned that the state government in conjunction with the security athorities would make the state extremely inhabitable for them.
All the local government council chairmen, APC chairmen in all the councils, all councillors and some APC chieftains in the state were also in attendance.
Prince Adesegun Olanibi, the state treasurer of the party, was also among those who witnessed the prayers session with the spokesman of the party in the state, Barr Kunle Oyatomi, and Mr Kola Olabisi.
