The house of Assembly Service commission chairman, Rt Hon Taiwo Olatunbosun has said the Ekiti State Governor, Kayode Fayemi is not a dramatist like his predecessor.
The board chairman made the assertion while fielding questions from journalists in Igede Ekiti during the campaign tour of local government chairmanship aspirant, Hon. Shina Ogunleye. The former publicity secretary said the calibre of the governor has made life easier for the people of the state.
“We have a governor who is not a dramatist and not a clown. If it were to be in the past, we would be hearing everyday that we control the twenty-six house of Assembly, the six house of reps members and the three senatorial seat.”
“The personality of the person we have as governor: he’s not somebody that wishes to play to the gallery and not a talkative, he is a lot busy with activities of restoring the values, the honor, the integrity and the credibility of Ekiti people and having an economy that one can confidently say is the fastest growing economy in the country because today we can have investors come in to the state without fear of being attacked or risking their investment.”
“We have a state where the governor have banished hunger, oppression. We have a state where we have banished lack. We now have a state where we have banished frustration as a result of prompt payment of salaries of workers and attendant to their well being.”
Eulogising the personality of the candidate, the board chairman noted that honorable Shina Ogunleye is a grassroot politician and the friend of the masses who has experience in the council counting for him.
“He is somebody I can say in all respect that he is diligent and highly respectable and such a person that we would like to have as chairman of our local government. More so, he has passed through the place before as secretary of the local government. He has the backing of the leadership of the local government,” Olatunbosun said.
The former Publicity Secretary of the ruling party in the state said he remains confident that the forth coming council election will be peaceful and devoid of brigandade. He further said the election will further consolidate the personality of the governor as leader of the state.
“APC is the party that has, without any form of pettiness, brigandade and fire brigade approach been able to established that the power reside more with the people than the power with a few.”
“I say without any fear of contradiction that our party is well footed, well prepared and very popular with the people to go into this election and win without any hitches and its going to be a peaceful one because the voice of the people is the voice of God”
