The Commisioner for Commerce, Industry,Cooperatives and Empowerment, Dr.Bode Olaonipekun has declared the readiness of the State government to partner with relevant business investors to improve the growth of businesses in the state.
Dr.Olaonipekun made this known during a meeting with the United Kingdom Department for International Development(DFID) and Development Agenda for Western Nigeria (DAWN) Commission in his office.
The Commisioner said that, for ease of doing business in the state, One-Stop-Shop which is domicile in the ministry has taken its full operation and relevant Stakeholders have agreed Monday, Wednesday and Friday for business enlightenment sessions while Tuesdays and Thursdays would be for business registration and documentations.
Dr.Olaonipekun explained further that the establishment of investment promotion agency which is part of the criteria for ease of doing business is being given rapt attention by the government.
He later enjoined business investors to use this great opportunities to get their business registered with Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) and liase with other Federal agencies all domiciled within the premises of the ministry.
In the same vein, the Special Adviser to the Governor on Commerce, Industry, Cooperatives and Empowerment, Mrs.Sola Ogunfolaju assured the investors that all hands would be on deck to rank osun first interms of business investment.
The Communication and Knowledge Officer for Department for International Development (DFID), Mr.Emmanuel Uko commended the efforts of the Govenor of the State of Osun, Mr.Adegboyega Oyetola for putting in place all the machineries needed to drive investments in the state forward.
Mr Uko said huge investment opportunities in the state is a great impetus in attracting business investors to the state and it must be projected appropriately.
The joint team of the Ministry, DFID and DAWN Commission visited some operational industries in Osogbo, the state capital.
