It is no longer news that when people believed their wish could be accomplished somewhere especially in politics and such belief turns imaginary, they turn wanderer. This illustration describes how former governor of this virtuous state of Osun, Brig. Gen. Olagunsoye Oyinlola and his colleagues in the business of political prostitute have been living their political life since he was sent out of office in 2010 by Ibadan Court of Appeal over the fraudulent election that saw him wrongly declared as governor for a second term in office.
One would recall that during one of the campaigns of Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola in 2014, Prince Oyinlola came out in public to denounce the political platform that made him a governor to join the ruling party APC with the hope of making it a business as usual but has his hope dashed as the progressives have leaders who are cultured at the helms of affair of the party who to them; it is like a Yoruba adage that says “Orí ògbódìye l’ójà, osárési, kìbámáay’ógún pa ogún, Olówóorè atàá.”
The People Democratic Party PDP in a release on the 16th of March, 2020 signed by their embattled State Chairman, Mr. Soji Adagunodo in grand style, announced the decision of these political wanderers to return to their tattered umbrella tomorrow, 18th of March 2020 to draw the attention of the unsuspecting Nigerians and member of our great party to celebration of the wanderers who are their presumed giants.
However, to set the record straight, Prince Oyinlola and Alhaji Fatai Akinbade worked for PDP in the last elections, both in the gubernatorial election in 2018 and the general elections of 2019 except for few of the SDP members who were with Dr Omisore then but sadly hoodwinked with audio promises to go back to PDP with them. The announcement of their return to PDP can only be described as just an official movement which should not distract not only our party members but also our party lovers across the length and breadth of the State of Osun, Southwest and Nigeria as a whole because they are only on their usual business.
Going forward, there is the need for our party leadership in the state of Osun especially, to do more in uniting party members at such a time as this. We need to continue to work on those that are with us or want to be with us. We need to work tirelessly to strengthen the coalition with the majority leaders and members of SDP who has refused to be part of their political jamboree tomorrow. We need to leave no stone unturned to settle all internal wrangling and bickering within our party. We need to do more appointments to bring relevance to our people and we are optimistic of our ever listening Governor Gboyega Oyetola and the party leadership is seriously working on this.
In conclusion, the progressives e-Group implore all political appointees to go back home to work and reassure our people that ours is a party of hope and we will not dare to play on their intelligence and neither would we take them for granted as their welfare is paramount to our party and the government of Ileri Oluwa himself; Mr. Gboyega Oyetola.
God bless APC,
God bless her Members,
God bless Governor Oyetola,
God bless the State of Osun .
….. truly in support of good Governance
