Governor Gboyega Oyetola of the State of Osun has commended Al-Azeez Medical Venture, a Private Pharmaceutical company based in Niger state whose Chairman and Chief Executive Director Dr Adebayo Adedokun is from Iwo in Osun State for donating some medical consumables to help combat the spread of Coronavirus in the State.
Oyetola who said this on Monday in Osogbo during the donation of the items by the management of the company stated that the medical items donated would be used judiciously for the purpose of reducing the spread of the virus.
Oyetola, represented by his Health Commissioner, Dr Rafiu Isamatu , said the phamaceutical group have shown a good gesture by given back to the system which would be of great health benefits to its citizenry.
” I want to appreciate Al- Azeez medical ventures for given back to the system which is commendable,”.
Mr Oyetola noted that Health Financing takes alot of funds and the state government is doing its best with the limited resources available.
According to him,” The state government would continue to engage stakeholders in the health sector in fighting the global pandemic which has ravaged the entire world”.
In his remarks, the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of the Al-Alzeez medical Ventures limited , Dr Adebayo Adedokun, said the state government has done a lot especially in the health sector which is commendable.
He further praised the Frontline soldiers in the sector for the relentless effort in the fight against covid -19.
“We donate these items to support the government of Osun when we realized that government has done a lot within its power and the limited available resources to curb the spread of Coronavirus in Osun and as an indigen of Osun, we will always continue to assist and support the government in whatever way for the benefit and well-being of the people”, Dr Adedokun stated.
He also commended the state government for its proactiveness with the measures put in place early enough to contain the spread of the pandemic saying these bold steps have really assisted to reduce the number of cases in the state.
Medical consumable items donated include One thousand and Eighty bottles of liquid soap, three hundred bottles of hand Sanizers, two gallons of Hand wash and Two hundred and fifty pieces of examination gloves.
