The party Chairmen of the 10 LGAs & 12 LCDAs in Osun Central Senatorial District met with Senator Dr Ajibola Basiru at the constituency office today.
Speaking on behalf of the party Chairmen Hon. Jimoh Asa from Odo-Otin LGA appealed to SRJ not to relent in his efforts at unifying the party as he has been doing.
In order not to labour in vain, Hon Asa urged the senator to look into members’ welfare for sustainable empowerment.
In his response, Senator Ajibola Basiru said God had used party members for him to be elected to represent the interest of the people of the district and he’s doing that to the best of his ability and will continue to do more.
“I and my colleagues went to meet Chief Adebisi Akande , Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola, Alhaji Gboyega Oyetola, State Chairman and other leaders that we must come together to move the party forward because the party is more important than an Individual. We only vote for office and the occupiers of the office will go at the expiration of his/her tenure but the office and the party will definitely remain.”
“Factionalisation of the party will only injure party members and I will encourage you as the chairmen that party meetings must be going on at both LGA & Ward levels which must be devoid of sentiment or individual interest.
Like the 10th anniversary of uninterrupted progressive Governance in Osun slated for Friday 27th November as facilitated by the Osun All Progressives Congress (APC) Caucus in the National Assembly, all the three Leaders ;Chief Bisi Akande, Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola and Alhaji Gboyega Oyetola will be present by God’s grace.
The lecture is a form of social awareness and sensitization for the good people of Osun to know and appreciate the impacts and benefits of the State’s administration under our progressive party.
Senator Ajibola Basiru disclosed that the major concern of all elected members of the APC is to unify party members and strengthen the party so that it can consolidate its hold on power.
He urge them to work together as a broom which is the symbol of our party and pray to the Lord to help us to deliver inline with his pact with the people of Osun Central Senatorial District.
